Online journalism is news that is reported on the Internet. The news can be delivered faster through this method of news as well as more easily accessible. The era of the Internet has transformed the understanding of the news. Because the Internet allows communication that is not only instantaneous but also bi- or multidirectional, has cleared the boundaries of who is a legitimate news producer. A common type of internet journalism is called blogging, which is a service of constantly loaded and written articles written by one or more individuals. Millions of people in countries like the United States and South Korea have taken the blog. Many blogs have a fairly small audience; Some blogs are read by millions each month. Social networks, especially Twitter and Facebook, have become an important source of information and links to websites with last-minute news. Twitter said in 2012: “It is like being delivered a newspaper whose titles you will always find interesting – you can discover news as they happen, learn about the issues that are important to you and get the scoop in real time . ” Cameras have standardized citizen photojournalism.

Michael Schudson, a professor at the School of Journalism at Columbia University, said that “everything we thought we knew once on journalism must be rethought in the digital age.” Today, Journalistic work seems to have become more personal and less institutional, but individual journalists must always be a true journalist “Or you can do journalistic work from everywhere and by everyone?” These are issues that relate to the basic journalistic practice and definition of “news” itself. “As Schudson pointed out, the answer is not easy To find; “Journalists who walk the ground tremble, and experience for both those who work on the ground and those who study it is dizzying.”

Schudson identified the following six specific areas where the ecology of news in their opinion has changed:

The line between the reader and the writer has become blurred.
The distinction between tweet, blog, Facebook, the story of a newspaper, a magazine article and a book has become blurred.
The line between professional and amateur has become blurred and has emerged a variety of “pro-am” relationships.
The boundaries delineating the media for not-for-profit, public and non-profit organizations have become blurred and cooperation between these funding models has been developed.
In commercial news agencies, the line between the editorial office and the business office has become blurred.
The line between the old media and new media has become blurred, almost beyond recognition.
These changes inevitably have important ramifications for contemporary ecological news. “The limits of journalism, which some years ago seemed relatively clear and permanent, have become less clear, and this blur, but potentially the basis for progress, as it is the source of risk, has led to a new series of Principles and journalistic practices, “says Schudson.” It is indeed complex, but it seems that the future.

Online news has also changed the geographical scope of individual news readers spreading city market to the city to potentially global audience.

Because the Internet has no limits “columns” of the print media, online news can, but not always, be included with the additional material. The middle of the World Wide Web also allows hyperlinking, which allows readers to browse to other related pages that read.

Despite these changes, some studies have concluded that coverage of news on the Internet is still fairly homogeneous and dominated by news agencies. And journalists who work with online media do not make it possible to identify significantly different criteria for the newspaper printed today than journalists.
